Szuper Narancstorta – SuperDuper Orange Cake
!Scroll down for English!
Ezután fokozatosan szórd bele a rizslisztet miközben kevered.
Süsd 20-25 percig 175°C-on (347°F) és közben figyeld a süteményt.

Ever since I can remember I always had a passion for sweets. The obsession is so real that I sometimes eat less just to save more space for dessersts. In the meantime I try to find healthier ingredients and recipes, because I definitely cannot resist sweets. Recently I found an amazing orange cake recipe which I changed a bit. No question, there is one more favourite cake in my repertoire from now on!
Honestly I don’t like baking for hours especially if the dough has to be kneaded. Somehow I feel like I’m just too young for the whole kneading situation – or just lazy. Anyways, luckily the following cake is super easy to make, even without previous baking experience. Give it a try, time flies and it’s gonna be perfect for a Mother’s Day surprise!
Ingredients
Cake
- 200 g rice flour
- 2 oranges
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp baking powder
- walnuts
Syrup
- 1 orange
- 2 tbsp honey
- squeeze of lemon
- salt
Method
Cake
Boil two orranges for one hour with the lid on, then peal it and blend. You can skip this part to save time.
Beat four eggs with two tablespoons of honey until pale. Check the video to see how its texture and colour should look like.
Add two teaspoons of baking powder and mix it evenly. Then gradually add the rice flour and stir it all together.
Pour the orange pure to your mix and stir evenly. Grease a baking pan with butter and flour, then place your dough in it and sprinkle walnuts on top. You can also add dried fruits or any nuts.
Bake the cake on 175°C/347°F for 20-25 minutes. Before taking it out, check if it’s ready with a fork. If the dough doesn’t stick on the fork, it’s done.
Syrup
Boil the juice of one orange with two tablespoons of honey. Add a pinch of salt and about two tablespoons of lemon juice – from fresh lemon, squeez it.
Sting the cake in everywhere with a fork and pour the syrup on it. Make sure the juice gets in every single hole, because this will give an extra orange taste and make it all perfect.
Thanks to the syrup the cake is sooo much more tasty, and because of the rice flour it gets an amazing texture. I surely will try it with other sweets as well.
Happy baking lovely people!
